Lummis for Congress Shows Grassroots Fiscal Conservatism in First Quarter Report
Cheyenne, WY – Lummis for Congress reported $168,420.40 in net contributions for the first quarter of 2008, disclosed U.S. House candidate Cynthia Lummis.
"Two factors stand out in our first campaign report about which I am pleased and proud. First, over 80% of contributions to Lummis for Congress were given by Wyoming residents."
"Second, our commitment to a grassroots Wyoming campaign based primarily on volunteers and careful money management allowed us to spend only $27,839.15, or 16.5% of the contributions Lummis for Congress has received. This fiscally conservative approach, relying on sweat equity and many generous friends around the state who opened their homes to us for overnight stays has allowed us to report cash on hand at the end of March in the amount of $140,581.25."
Cynthia knows she will need those dollars when summer arrives and her many volunteers fan out around the state.
"Believe me, we are acutely aware of the price of gasoline around Wyoming having driven over 10,000 miles so far in this campaign."
